ʙᴇᴄᴏᴍɪɴɢ ᴀ ᴍᴏɴᴀʀᴄʜ Earning a monarchy position this way is a one time deal, so get it while you can. First monarchs of a province are chosen through destiny, and after them, monarchy positions are gained through overthrowing the current monarch through battles, or their son/daughter takes the throne. If the monarch has a mate, they two lead together. There are four provinces in total: Ethona, Agova, Viravea, and Casabir as well as the Oceans. Please note, though the Ethereal Island is located in Casabir's province, the Ethereal Island is not ruled by that monarch. It rules itself. To prove your character worthy of become a monarch, they must travel to the empty throne in their chosen province and take it. To do this, please fill out this coding, post it below, and go create a thread tagging The Dreamer (@//dreamer). The Dreamer will lead your character through a task in order to get through to the throne. After you have posted with your character, others have two days to post their applications for the same monarchy position before the contest automatically defaults to the first poster. He was a prince told all his life that he could become king if he worked hard enough for the chance, yet his brother had been told the same thing. One thing he did not know, however, was that he was adopted, and almost never had the chance to ever become king because of his father's plans for the future. Eventually, he found the truth, and set a trap so that he would be forced to become king. His scheme worked, and he reined for a short while on the throne. However, his older brother ruined his plans, and the throne was restored to his father. Later in his life, he regained the throne once more and his kingdom prospered under his rein, yet every other realm fell into chaos and ruin. His brother, once again, returned to ruin his schemes and dethroned Loki, before his brorther took the throne. Soon enough, both brothers were stripped of their memories and thrown into a life they had never thought they would live. Their memories were replaced with false ones, and it was not until they found the portal to Vescentia did these memories return to them. Now, Loki has almost no desire to rule, yet when he sees the opportunity to lead, he never turns down the offer. He decided to temporarily take the throne of Ethona because it was empty and he saw that it was in desperate need of leadership until someone else wanted it. Char Username: @//prometheus Name of Char: Prometheus OOC Name: Kagome Gender of Char: Male Chosen Province: Viravea Rise to Power: Prometheus was of unknown parents but was adopted by two monarchs living in separate kingdoms. He was raised by a close friend of theirs but was allowed to visit his adoptive parents as often as he wished. Time passed and as he grew older and overcame many tests and trials he eventually became chief ruler of the village he lived in. During his reign he successfully brought his people out of war, moved them to a new home and watched it flourish under his tender care. Eventually there came a time where he decided it best to pass the torch of leadership on to another and from there he left the village and his parents behind in search of something greater. After many years of lonely travel he never came across anything of interest until stumbling upon the world of Vescentia and landing in the beautiful province of Viravea in particular. He heard from a resident squirrel that the kingdom was leaderless and with that his heart went out to the thought of the locals being worried and lost over the state of their home. Having lead before, he almost felt as if fate was throwing this task at him. To once again take up the reigns of leadership and do something productive and helpful with his life once more.
